Packing List For Umrah
Before leaving for Umrah, you must realise the fact that it is going to be a tedious journey and you are going to face hurdles if you do not carry the essential items that you may need there. People are often confused about how to prepare for this spiritual journey and what to pack for Umrah.
It is a good idea to make a list of essential things to pack for Umrah, and prepare an Umrah checklist and packing guide before embarking on your journey, so that your Umrah trip remains hassle-free and memorable.

Essential Travel Documents
Ensure all your travel documents are easily accessible in your hand luggage:
- Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
- Umrah visa and travel permits
- Flight tickets and hotel confirmations
- Vaccination certificates (if applicable)
- Photocopies and digital backups of all documents
Ihram And Other Essentials
- Men: Two-piece white Ihram cloth and Ihram belt
- Women: Modest Abayas, Hijabs, and loose clothing (Ihram is normal attire)
- Comfortable sandals/slippers (carry at least 2 pairs)
- Sunglasses and cap/umbrella for sun protection
- Pocket Qur’an or Qur’an app
- Du‘a book or Umrah guide
- Tasbeeh for Dhikr
- Lightweight prayer mat
Toiletries (Unscented for Ihram)
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Unscented soap, shampoo, and lotion
- Towel and basic grooming items
- Nail cutter
- Small scissors, razor, or trimmer (for Halq/Qasr after Umrah)
Health & Safety Items
- Personal prescription medicines
- Basic first-aid items (pain relievers, ORS, band-aids)
- Hand sanitiser and tissues
- Face masks (optional but useful in crowds)
Useful Accessories
- Waist pouch or small cross-body bag for valuables
- Refillable water bottle (for hydration)
- Phone charger and power bank
- Simple backpack for daily use
